Essentials of 3D Printing

After her Bachelor in Audiovisual Art and Education at the Art Academy AHK Amsterdam, Marousha Levy also obtained a Bachelor in Stage Design at the Art Academy ABKM Maastricht.
During her studies, she gained practical experience in the fields of film and theater. Additionally, she studied at the University of the Arts in London.
Since then, she is a stage and costume designer for numerous establishments in the Netherlands, Austria and Germany. Marousha Levy is also active as Art Director for visual reality films. She has been occupied with 3D printing for several years within the course of her assignments.

In her innovative course, Marousha Levy will introduce the fundamentals of 3D printing in the field of textiles.
She will present Tinkercad, an easy-to-use drawing program. Even absolute beginners can print their own designs and drawings on textile material and can even print textiles.
Next to application examples from textile design and fashion, participants’ own designs will also be realized and printed.
Many trial pieces will be created, which can be brought home as references. At the end of the course, the pieces created by participants will be presented in a small exhibition.
All participants need to bring their own laptops (Wifi enabled, at least Windows 7).
